Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, the International Union of Muslim Scholars said it opposed what it described as attempts to advance political arrangements in the region under external pressure. It argued that such initiatives, if pursued while Israeli policies in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories continue, amount to granting political legitimacy without addressing underlying grievances.
The scholars’ body urged religious institutions across the Muslim world to take a clear stance on the issue and called for greater coordination among Muslim-majority countries in support of Palestinian rights. It said any durable stability would require addressing what it described as the ongoing realities of occupation and displacement.
